The artcile focuses on how SAP is planning to remain competitive in the market. It mentions the acquisition it made of SuccessFactors which is a cloud computing company. SAP hopes that the expertise gained with the acquisition will ease their transition into the cloud computing market. Integration of their global payroll software is what they plan to achieve as well as releasing Financials OnDemand which they plan to market to large organiztions. On the customer level they announced their plans to provide quarterly updates for the Sales OnDemand CRM application. Another big anouncement made by SAP executives was their new PaaS, Netweaver Cloud, which features HANA in-memory database. Another announcement SAP has made is a cloud based data integration service. This service will allow for on demand applications or on premise applications to connect in the cloud.
