Since smartphone users are growing in fast pace, many companies wants to place mobile ads to reach their customers. According to Millenial Media’s recent report, Android smartphones have the most of mobile ad impressions and followed by Apple’s iOS and Blackberry. Although there are more Android users, Apple’s iAd almost shares the same mobile ad spending that companies have budgeted. Companies are willing to more mobile ad spending on iAd because stat showed there is quite large number of iPhone users whose household income over $100K.
After I read this article, I am glad to be a CIS student. Because companies are putting their money on mobile ads, there will be more opportunities for us. Mobile ads will be another choice besides mobile applications. Now computer information systems are becoming very exciting fields.
