Chapter 5, section 2, Virtualization{0}

     This article is about how Microsoft plans to bring virtualization and virtual machines to the public mainstream. The server 2008 R2 has the Hyper-V technology which allows multiple computers via there operating system to be run on one computer at the same time. The use of virtual machines has been a quiet innovation that Microsoft predicts is ready to explode into the public mainstream with the new Windows 8. With virtualization they plan on bringing the technology that allows you to run multiple operating systems symultaneously without interfering with one another. They will try to incorporate what the Server 2008 has and put it into Windows 8.  They say that with the new look of Windows 8 it may come with upgraded 128 bit OS, with a 128 bit CPU. It will have new chip tecnology with a new OS structure. (George, 2010)

     This article is related to the topics of Virtualization and Virtural Machines which are both topics in chapter 5 section 2. This article relates to these topics because this new operating system that Microsoft is working on incorporates virtualization and allows the public to use virtual machines with Windows 8. This new operating system is being designed around virtualization and virtual machines. Which is the new forefront of computer technology. This article aslo relates because it explains these topics and also gives a little background information on them and how they apply.

     What i liked about this artcile was that it is something new to me that I wasn’t aware of and how big of a deal this is to the computer world. Even though that they have had this technology for a few years it is finally being made into something that everyone will be able to use. I learned more about computers and how they work, but would like to learn more details about this.
