APC is a known face in the world of servers and protection in the computer world. In this article is talks about how they plan to put a new technology out there. It is known as UPS. It stands for Uninterruptible power supply system. This system is to offer better ways to conserve energy and it also offers times in when it is recommended to change the battery on the device. This is just one of the many new features that it will offer. This is an attempt by APC to go green. They hope by doing this it will help the company to go into the green mode as it was called in the article. The article also goes on to say that the new UPS servers are another step in the right direction. They are going to raise the bar for all other competitors as is states in the article.
This article relates to the chapter because of the reference to the company wanting to go green. In the chapter it discussed the issue of green because it was something that the companies were doing now in today’s economy in order to help clean up the air and the ocean and everything else that us as humans have contaminated with our pollution. When the companies go green it is just one more step in the right direction because they are helping the environment and the economy in regards to the debt we are in these days. I think that going green is a good way to keep everyone happy and healthy.
