This article was talking about new technology website developed in cooperation with CSS pioneers Opera and Apple, brings common 3D graphics ability to the Cascading Style Sheets technology for controlling Web page formatting. This technology looks well suited for use in Adobe’s Edge software for creating dynamic Web pages.  Building shaders into CSS enables eye-catching, dynamic effects. Adobe demonstrated a few. With vertex shaders, it created Web page elements that curve like pages or ripple like flags.

Related to our class, we are still using the Dreamweaver as our web development tool. In this article, there is new technology and new concept for web development in the future will be using Adobe. I think this is the cool thing because 3D website will change our life. Try to think about it that the e-commercial website are selling product with 3D. The customer will more clear to understand how the product looks like. Besides that, the education materials become 3D show on website, I think it will more attractive for the kids to study. Here is the demo video from Adobe http://www.adobe.com/devnet/html5/articles/css-shaders.html.

  1. I like this idea, but I have reservations if we evolve into wearing glasses to browse the web. The TV experience is already moving toward that and I disagree with the return on investment. I like that graphics will enhance on the web but I dont agree with having to purchase extra equipment to enjoy it like video cards and monitors and glasses etc… At some point we have to draw the line and just be happy with what we have. I happen to think it is pretty good as is.

  2. I do like the idea that we can use this to create 3D effects without using glasses. I’m not exactly sure how well the business is in the 3D market right now but I would imagine that consumers like me, have found the concept of 3D very gimmicky. I think it’s because we have to use glasses; adding hassle and taking away from the naturalness of things.

  3. I hope this moves forward. I own an HTC EVO 3D and there is almost no 3D content on the internet, if this were to come out I would be glad to see the content on my phone.
